Mismatch DNA-specific enzymatic cleavage employed in a new method for the electrochemical detection of genetic mutationsw
The identification of genetic mutations is an important component in the early diagnosis of many types of diseases and undesirable behaviors caused by gene mutations. Many strategies have been developed to detect genetic mutations that utilize (1) gel electrophoretic mobility differences between homoduplex and heteroduplex DNA, (2) denaturing high performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC), (3) ...
متن کاملAdvancement in electrochemical DNA-biosensors for GMOs detection: A review
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are plants or animals whose genetic make-up has been transformed by recombinant DNA technology, which has new features such as resistance to herbicides, virus and insect. Recently, genetic modification of food products has increased in order to reduce world poverty and hunger and increase food production However, the impact of GMOs on the human health is a ...

Background : Most of the offending genes of diseases are quite big and complex with varieties of exons. Gene montage is a new technique for formation of a big linked DNA segment that could be easily detected by DNA sequencing or Denaturing High Performance Liquid Chromatography (DHPLC). Methods : Exons 2,20,23 and 24 of BRCA1 gene were linked and analyzed by DNA sequencing. Exons 2 and 20 are i...
متن کاملUsing an electrochemical nanobiosensor based on titanium carbide-carbon nanotubes polymeric nanocomposite for the epithelialovarian cancer early detection
Background & Aim: Ovarian cancer is the most lethal among female malignancies. So far, treatment improvements have affected patient survival, but it is still more important to provide an early diagnosis that can detect the disease in its early stages. Therefore, introducing a rapid, accurate, and low-cost method to disease detection can be important and necessary. Methods: This study introduce...
متن کاملApplications of multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) method in diagnosis of cancer and genetic disorders
Introduction: Lots of human diseases and syndromes result from partial or complete gene deletions and duplications or changes of certain specific chromosomal sequences. Many various methods are used to study the chromosomal aberrations including Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH), Fluorescent in Situ Hybridization (FISH), Southern blots, Multiplex Amplifiable Probe Hybridisation (MAP...
